Information we collect
AfriParlour may collect contact details, comparison answers, provider selections, policy-application information, claim notifications, event details, recruitment information and documents that you deliberately upload.
Why we use it
We use information to provide comparisons, send your selected request to the relevant provider, support applications and claims, prepare quotations, respond to enquiries, manage recruitment and protect the platform from misuse.
Who receives it
AfriParlour staff may access information where required to operate the service. A selected funeral or financial-services provider may receive the information necessary to respond to your chosen request. We do not sell customer information.
Storage and security
Information is stored using Firebase services with access rules that block public reading of customer records. Staff access is limited to authorised accounts. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please do not enter banking PINs, passwords or card details.
Retention
Records should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the request, legal obligations, dispute handling and legitimate operational needs. AfriParlour should document and apply a formal retention schedule before public launch.
Your choices and rights
You may ask what personal information AfriParlour holds about you, request correction or deletion where legally permitted, object to certain processing or withdraw optional consent. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier lawful processing invalid.
Contact
For a privacy request, email info@afriparlour.co.za. A provider remains responsible for information it processes through its own systems and policies.
Legal review: This practical starter notice must be checked against AfriParlour’s final operating model, provider agreements and POPIA obligations before launch.
